As a Christian it’s a good idea to try to memorize scriptures, just in case you need to say a quick prayer, but I must admit that sometimes I get the words wrong. Here’s an example. I went to Bed, Bath and Beyond to buy some sheets that were on sale. When I found some that liked, a store clerk then encouraged me to buy some of their expensive “romantic” sheets. When I told that I preferred the cotton sheets, she continued to pressure me to buy the ones she was suggesting. I was so frustrated that I quoted Matthew 16:23, and shouted “Get behind me satin!” In hindsight, I realized that I misquoted the bible… again. I hope God doesn’t think I’m an idiot.
