About ten years ago, while visiting some of the subtropical wetlands in North Carolina, I noticed a very strange looking plant. Instead of having leaves, it had two tiny skillets opposite of each other, that would wait for an unsuspecting insect to land between them. When the unlucky bug was detected, the two skillets quickly came together and began cooking it, and was eventually consumed by the plant.
