One of the gifts brought to Mary when the magi first saw Jesus, was frankincense. When I was child, I equated frankincense with Frankenstein. I thought frankincense was actually a big man that had a green head, with bolts on his neck… that smelled really nice. Back then, I also thought that the reason why it was difficult for Mary and Joseph to find a place to stay when she was about to give birth, was because lodging in Bethlehem was always full on Christmas Eve.
