By my own admission, I know almost nothing about cars. I was very fortunate today when a man stopped me in the grocery store parking lot and told me that he notice my car was riding a little rough. He informed me that he was a qualified mechanic and he could make my motor sound and drive like new in a few minutes for $100.00. I thought about it, and then opened my hood. Without hesitation, he immediately diagnosed the problem. The mechanic explained to me that my engine lacked the proper lubrication and he could fix it in about five minutes. I was ecstatic and told him to go for it, and I would be back in about ten minutes.
When I came back, he was wiping his hands off and told me it would ride like a dream in about an hour or so of driving it around. I paid him $100.00 feeling fortunate that our paths crossed. As he walked away, he stated that all my car needed was two quarts of snake oil. I never heard of that brand.
