While I was talking to a neighbor of mine who was born and raised in Spain, he told me that he recently took some college courses, and failed one class in Spanish. I started laughing at him hysterically, and told him that was one of the dumbest things I’ve ever heard. He then asked me if I ever flunked a test in English when I was in school. I thought about it, and I recalled flunking plenty of English tests during the span of 1st grade to college. My smile quickly disappeared.
Once again, an individual born abroad puts me in my place and makes me look like a fool. (Darn foreigners).
