Some of my male friends tell me that I’m a wimp because I refuse to stand up to my wife. I respect their opinion, but I don’t agree with them. However, one of my resolutions for this new year, is to be more assertive with my spouse, just in case she agrees with my friends that I’m spineless when it comes to her. And she will see this new side of my personality, as soon as she unlocks this closet door that she put me in two days ago, for talking back. My phone died a few hours ago, and my laptop has 1% power left. I’m going to leave a note on the plate of food she slides under the door for my afternoon feeding, telling her that there are some issues in this marriage I want to address. Hopefully she won’t respond by taking away my pen and paper, and then giving me another uncooked frozen dinner later this evening, because it takes at least three hours before it thaws and I can eat.
