COMMENTARY: As long the jury can’t be sentenced to death, I think this is a great idea. Life without parole is also acceptable in my eyes. I know many people are reluctant to serve on jury duty, and somehow I think my new idea will intensify their reservations. Or fair minded descent objective people, will play it safe and find defendants guilty, no matter what they’re charged with. That works for me too (unless I’m on trial).
