BREAKING NEWS – Des Plaines, Illinois – Three day care employees were arrested for giving toddlers melatonin gummy bears before nap time, according to police. Kristen Lauletta, 32, Jessica Heyse, 19, and Ashley Helfenbein, 25, were arrested and charged with two counts of battery and two counts of endangering the life of a child, according to Des Plaines Police Cmdr. Christopher Mierzwa. While the three employees said they didn’t think there was anything wrong with passing out the natural supplement to calm them down before nap time, parents were unaware their children were given the sleep-aid, police said. Last year, these same three women were suspected of giving some preschoolers crystal meth, which accelerates the appearance of aging. Parents got suspicious when their five year old children began to look old enough to buy alcohol.
