BREAKING NEWS – New York City, New York – Two prominent, female Democratic vice-presidential front-runners appeared on three national political shows Sunday morning and neither were asked about explosive allegations against their potential running mate Joe Biden.
A now-infamous clip from a 1993 episode of CNN’s “Larry King Live” resurfaced, appearing to include the mother of Tara Reade — who has accused Biden of past sexual assault while in the Senate — alluding to “problems” her daughter faced while working as a staffer for the then-U.S. senator from Delaware.
CNN’s Jake Tapper, NBC’s Chuck Todd, and ABC’s George Stephanopoulos, released a joint statement on the appearance that they are giving Joe Biden a pass. “The three of us respect and revere the judicial system in America, which clearly states that there is a presumption of innocence of any democrat or liberal nominated to run for the White House, that’s accused of a crime,” the letter stated. “We took this position in 2016, and we solemnly promise as objective journalists to maintain this mindset in future presidential elections.”
