BREAKING NEWS – Trinity, Texas – A photo of Trinity Police Chief Steven Jones and Officer Donald Givens with the words “his life matters” written on their palms has gone viral on social media. The photo first appeared on the Trinity Police Department Twitter feed on May 6, but it didn’t gain steam until it was shared on Facebook by American Conservatives of Color, a local CBS affiliate reported. Al Sharpton responded to the photo stating, “I’m praising the white cop for the powerful words written on his hand, and the black cop should be fired immediately for making a political statement in uniform on company time which violates a police policy, thus defrauding the tax payer!”
