BREAKING NEWS – Washington, D.C. – Bernie Sanders says he is trailing Hillary Clinton in the Democratic presidential primary “because poor people don’t vote.” When asked why he consistently lost contests in states with the highest income inequality gaps, the populist Vermont senator said on “Meet The Press” that he wouldn’t trail front-runner if more low-income voters showed up to the ballot box. “Poor people are usually uneducated”, explained Sanders. “If they knew anything about history regarding the joy of socialism, they would be voting for me in record numbers. Because if elected I have solemnly promised to give them endless handouts, by extracting every penny I can from the hard working rich people that should be forced to pay a well deserved penalty for selfishly becoming wealthy.”
