BREAKING NEWS – Boston, Massachusetts – A Cherokee woman criticizes Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) for refusing to back down on her claim of Cherokee ancestry. “As a mixed Native woman, I get to relive the stereotypes that Warren perpetuates every day,” said Rebecca Nagle of Oklahoma. “I’m not ‘part-Cherokee’, I am Cherokee. Warren should take responsibility for her false claim.” Warren responded by saying, “I am part Cherokee, and I base it on the fact that my father watched every episode of the Lone Ranger, and he constantly told me how much he admired Tonto.”
