BREAKING NEWS – Cologny/Geneva, Switzerland – The U.S. is back on top as the most competitive country in the world, regaining the No. 1 spot for the first time since 2008 in an index produced by the World Economic Forum, which said the country could still do better on social issues. America climbed one place in the rankings of 140 countries, with the top five rounded out by Singapore, Germany, Switzerland and Japan. All five countries’ scores rose from 2017, with the U.S. notching the second-biggest gain after Japan’s. Congresswoman Maxine Waters objected to the findings. “I have a major problem with this,” she began. “Because Switzerland is releasing this now, it might make the republicans look better in the midterms and it may help Trump in 2020. So in my view, they are meddling in our elections, which is an act of war. And I’ll bet that fool in the White House is too spineless to tell the Pentagon to order some nuclear strikes against Switzerland. And secondly, what do they mean the U.S. is the most competitive in the world? They can’t be certain, because they have no idea what the economy is like on other planets in this galaxy or other galaxies. I no longer trust the World Economic Forum, and I’ll never trust President Trump. Impeach 45!”
