BREAKING NEWS – South Bend, Indiana – If you eat hamburgers or use plastic drinking straws, consider yourself part of the climate-change problem. That was the assessment of Democratic presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg during an appearance on CNN’s “New Day.”

“You know, from using a straw to eating a burger. Am I part of the problem? In a certain way, yes,” he told host Alisyn Camerota. “But the most exciting thing is that we can all be part of the solution.”

“You do realize that a lot of black people eat at fast food restaurants, and currently you’re polling at 1% among them?” she asked.

Buttigieg appeared disoriented by the question, and hesitated before he spoke. “Well, uh… uh, as far as uh, I said hamburgers, and not uh, uh, barbecue ribs and potato salad… because those are tasty and… healthy. Ground beef is bad and pork is good… according to something I saw… on BET… I think.”
