BREAKING NEWS – New York City, New York – CNN anchor Jake Tapper took former Vice President Joe Biden to school, showing the 2020 Democratic front-runner how to properly cough during an on-air interview. Biden was discussing the latest on combating the pandemic from his home when it was interrupted by a cough.
“Excuse me,” Biden said after he coughed into his hand.
“You know, you’re supposed to cough into your elbow,” Tapper told the former vice president as he himself demonstrated with his elbow.
Biden immediately responded. “You’re right.” He then reached down and removed one of his shoes.
“Vice President Biden, what are you doing?” Tapper asked.
“I’m following your instructions,” Biden answered as he raised the side his foot near his mouth and coughed a second time.
“I think you misunderstood me,” said Trapper. “I said cough into your elbow, not ankle.”
“Oops, sorry,” said Biden. “The acoustics in here are terrible.”
