She broke her silence about the sudden exit last week on her new podcast, “Native Land Pod,” which she hosts with former CNN contributor Angela Rye and former Democratic Florida gubernatorial candidate Andrew Gillum.
According to an unnamed source at MSNBC, Joy Reid was instrumental in Cross’ ouster, alleging that Cross was “way too attractive to be taken as a serious journalist,” and “Cross’ physical appeal must be lowered considerably to meet MSNBC’s beauty standards.”
