I dumped another woman I recently met after only a few dates, because I felt she took a scripture out of context. Here’s what happened. She’s a seamstress and she recently made a shirt especially for me. After I put it on and looked at it in a mirror, I told her that I didn’t like it. She immediately became enraged, and in one quick motion, she grabbed the collar as I was wearing it and tore it. As I backed off of her I told her that her attitude was very un-Christian. She then responded that her actions were condoned by the bible where it says, “Whatever you sew, you rip!” (I’m not a theologian, but somehow that doesn’t sound right).
