I was watching a baseball game the other day when the cameras focused on a pitcher warming up. He stopped for a moment and was telling a fan how great he was. He said he pitched 7 consecutive “no-hitters” in college, and could throw a fastball over 200 mph that would often shatter bats and knock catchers unconscious. At that point, it became clear to me why it’s called a “bull” pen.
