Ask Blake Picture111

Dear Blake,

I have a problem and I hope you’ll back me up. I have been married now for almost 10 years and in the past 3 years, my wife started making twice as much money as I do. I’m fine with that, but I still want her to give me her paycheck every other Friday, because I am the head of the household. She thinks she should have some say in the financial matters, but I reject that idea on every level. She simply won’t let the man be the man!!! Give us your input.

Signed Arturo,

Dear Arturo,

Throughout time, the role of the male in a household has been and always will be an important cornerstone. If your wife’s salary makes you feel inadequate and worthless, it’s probably because you are. But don’t think that she is a lot smarter than you, especially with her glaringly obvious character flaw with the type of man she reduced herself to marry. Your boneheaded perspective suggests to me that deep down inside you have a death wish. Does your better half love you or think you’re expendable? I don’t know. However, I would appreciate it if you contacted me with your full name and the name of you local newspaper, because I believe it’s just a matter of time before I read about you in the obituaries. And if the District Attorney is a woman, she’ll tell your wife that they’re not filing charges against her, and then gleefully thanking her for performing a public service. I hope this helps.
