BREAKING NEWS – Washington, D.C. – Self-described socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez announced that she will join California Democratic Rep. Maxine Waters on the influential House Financial Services Committee, which oversees Wall Street and the housing industry. “I am very grateful for the opportunity to sit on this committee as a freshman, and look forward to working under the leadership of @RepMaxineWaters!” Ocasio-Cortez wrote on Twitter. She then later tweeted, “I know Maxine has the reputation of being pretty stupid, but I still think we can work together. The first thing I would like to do regarding Wall Street, is to find out why is there a wall on the street? Did President Trump put it there to prevent migrants that have crossed the southern border illegally from investing in the stock market? I have never met Dow Jones or Naz Deck, but when I meet those guys, I plan on giving them a piece of my mind regarding this ongoing financial bigotry.”
