BREAKING NEWS – Washington, D.C. – Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi has sent a letter to President Donald Trump asking to move the day of the State of the Union address or deliver it in writing, citing security concerns from the ongoing government shutdown. “Sadly, given the security concerns and unless government re-opens this week, I suggest we work together to determine another suitable date after government has re-opened for this address or for you to consider delivering your State of the Union address in writing to the Congress on January 29,” Pelosi writes in the letter. She concluded the letter by saying, “If you decide to have the State of the Union address anyway, I am requesting that you do not bring up violent criminals that are currently in this country illegally. Because many sanctuary cities are trying to stretch their budgets, and they don’t want to expend any more funds trying to hide these killers from ICE.”
