BREAKING NEWS – Washington, D.C. – Former Vice President Joe Biden offered an apology for previously referring to President Clinton’s impeachment as a “partisan lynching,” just hours after he condemned President Trump for referring to his own impeachment with the same term. “Even if the president should be impeached, history will question whether or not this was a partisan lynching or whether or not it was something that in fact met the standard,” then-Sen. Biden told CNN’s Wolf Blitzer in 1998. However, he had a different perspective when Trump used the exact same term. “Impeachment is not ‘lynching,’ it is part of our Constitution,” Biden reacted. “Our country has a dark, shameful history with lynching, and to even think about making this comparison is abhorrent. It’s despicable.” When he was informed that CNN dug up an interview he did with them, he seemed shaken and angry. “Why are they digging up my dirt? I thought my campaign had the same agreement with them as I do with MSNBC! Anyway, it’s different when I say stupid things. It’s expected of me, and I consistently deliver. In fact, my verbal buffoonery is so popular, people are willing to pay a two drink minimum at my rallies to be entertained by my stupidity. But Trump is the President of the United States. He must set an example, and as the leader of the free world, he has no excuse for mirroring my idiocy!”
