BREAKING NEWS – Milwaukee, Wisconsin – A “Defund the Police” mural outside Milwaukee’s City Hall was painted over by an anonymous group in an effort to show support for law enforcement. Around 30 activists painted the original mural without permits or permission from the city.
The mural was painted to support the nationwide movement to divert funds from police departments toward schools and youth programs. It was later tampered with to spell out “Defend the Police,” with the “D” painted blue, the first “E” covered, and the “U” changed to an “E,” Urban Milwaukee reported.
Congresswoman Maxine Waters was outraged at the change. “I want those vandals that changed the spelling, immediately arrested!” she began. “This is the worst destruction of pubic property I have seen in years! I am calling for a congressional investigation to find the culprits, prosecute them, convict them, and give them maximum sentences! Why hasn’t President Trump commented on this horrific crime? Maybe he was one that actually did it. I want footage from every Home Depot in Milwaukee to see if he was in there recently buying paint. I bet he thinks he’s too good to shop at Lowe’s! Quarantine and impeach 45!”
