The vice president’s trip includes a stop in Vietnam amid an Afghan crisis that many have compared to the fall of Saigon in 1975.
President Biden objected to the comparison. “The Afghan situation has nothing to do with the fall of Saigon in 1975!” he exclaimed. “What does autumn leaves in Saigon have to do with Afghanistan?
