BREAKING NEWS – Berlin, Germany – Former president Barack Obama touched on growing divisions within his own party, warning against pushes for ideological purity. “One of the things I do worry about sometimes among progressives in the United States — maybe it’s true here as well — is a certain kind of rigidity where we say, ‘Oh, I’m sorry, this is how it’s going to be,’” Obama said. “And then we start sometimes creating what’s called a ‘circular firing squad’ where you start shooting at your allies because one of them is straying from purity on the issues.” When asked about the potential people running against Trump, he didn’t pull any punches.
“It’s a real possibility that Joe Biden may not even announce that he’s running,” Obama began. “But I repeatedly warned him about his behavior for eight years when I was in the White House, and I can’t count the amount of times my wife and both daughters backhanded him for getting too close. Bernie Sanders is too old to be walking let alone ‘running’… for anything. He looks like the next step he takes, he’s going to literally fall apart. Elizabeth Warren has to deal with the bigotry in America regarding the ongoing anti-homely mindset. And then there’s Beto O’Rourke. This guys waves his arms so much, that not only does he look like the ground crew at an airport, he appears to be an airplane propeller too. As far as the rest of the pack, they’re a bunch of misguided buffoons that keep going further left, in a daily contest of trying to ‘outstupid’ each other.”
